Panthers go cold, lose fourth straight game at Wright State
FAIRBORN, Ohio (MILWAUKEE ATHLETICS) – It was a back-and-forth first half, but the shots were not falling after the break for the Milwaukee women s basketball team as it fell 56-49 to Wright State on Saturday afternoon. It s been a struggle for us shooting percentage-wise for a little while, head coach Kyle Rechlicz commented. We re getting a lot of shots up and hitting a lot of shots in practice, but the rim looks a little smaller when playing in games.
The Panthers (15-5, 12-4 Horizon League) finished just 6-for-27 (22.2 percent) from the floor in the second half but kept it close at the line, hitting 10 of 11 attempts.
FALL RIVER The last football game Jess Read went to was a matchup between two high school teams.
The next football game she’ll be attending will be Sunday night’s Super Bowl LV in Tampa.
“I’ve never been to a professional football game,” Read, 23, said.
The Charlton Memorial Hospital registered nurse was one of two RNs randomly selected from a pool of nurses and health care workers who work for the Southcoast Health hospital network, which also includes St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

SANDY CREEK â Gary S. Waterman always wanted to go further and faster on skis, and his experiences in how he literally harnessed that gift inspired him to begin a book about it.
But at age 53 and in the summer of 2000, he could go no further â his final race run at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester due to the deadly stopping power of acute myelogenous leukemia.
After a second bone marrow transplant that failed to get the desired results and as he found himself about to be hooked up to a respirator and knowing the consequences, Gary asked his wife, Betsy B. Waterman to do a favor: Would she finish his book on their wonderful life with dogs and the sport of skijoring?
Planning begins for Colorado State Fair

PUEBLO â Despite the pandemic organizers are starting to plan for the Colorado State Fair.
The fair is scheduled to start Aug. 27 and end Sept. 6.
The theme for this year is going to be All Roads Lead to the Colorado State Fair.
This year the fair is teaming up with Colorado tourism to highlight all areas of the state.
The fair plans to have a bigger concert lineup, the slopper eating contest and the high dive show.
